I currently Live in SW Ontario (Canada), AKA the Banana belt. Its warmer than most of Ontario/Canada but not as warm as Vancouver. My husband recently went out to Northern AB to work, and is planning on moving from Fort McMurray to Grande Prairie for work, and wants me to move out there. THIS SCARES ME !!!!
I have a good Rhumy (90 min) and amazing Family Doctor (45 min), the best Chiropractor ever (in town) and good physio when I need it (30 min). Not to mention a loving and accepting supportive community that I have come to love very much.
I am sure I will find a similar community (eventually) but what scares me is a) good doctors and Specialists and good hosptials, and the weather. I know that AB is colder and snowier than SW Ontario. I know that My husband has already seen snow, but FortMack is further north.
I hear its a Dry Cold which is supposed to be easier, but I am not convinced. I don't do well with snow, and ice anymore.

Anyways would love any feed back from any who live/lived out that way - thanks very much in advance.

Hey there,

Moved a lot in my life, but never anywhere that far north. Strutsy and Megan are from out that way, maybe drop them a PM and see if they can help.
