In my edition of the NSD book, Carol Sinclair asserts that McDonalds beef patties are still 100% beef and pass her iodine test. I found this surprising, I always assumed they must use various kinds of fillers and those fillers would be starchy.

I haven't tested it myself. Anyone have success with McDonalds burgers or any other fast food options? I am going to guess that these days, it's too good to be true smile

I don't test with iodine but don't have any problem with MacDonald beef burgers minus the bun. I also sometimes have subway salads. You may have to check out the sauces though. I think Carol reacted to the big Mac sauce but I can get away with it.

I have the McDonald's burger every once in a while, usually when traveling, and have never reacted to them or the Big Mac sauce.

I have tried to order burgers, not at McDonalds, and each time when asked been informed that they have soy in them when they come.
