Hi Raju! No, I am not from India, sorry, but I know there are some people here from India. Also, are you on facebook?
https://www.facebook.com/AnkylosingSpondylitis?fref=ts
There's a facebook AS support group of India.
Best wishes!

Namaste, raj:

I lived there over a year and perhaps better I did not know about NSD back then!! It would be nearly impossible to do proper diet there, but that is what it will take.

Friend Krishna from AP said he healed his AS through vitD (sunlight) and fresh milk, but it all begins in the gut (vitD is essential for healthy intestinal tract).

Hope You find what You are looking for and the proper support. I was blessed to be taken to the "Hakim" in Delhi: Founder of "Hamdard" and practiced in Unani medicine. I am traveling now, but will send to You his herbal prescription if interested (it is in Urdu, for herbal pressings manufactured at his clinic). He also told me (through interpreters) to eat plenty of fenugreek and garlic. The chemist claimed it would be a 'cure' in fact!

HEALTH,
John

I'm not living in India… can’t recommend rheumy.
On diet I could share my experience - It been a year that I’m on Low starch diet. It has helped a lot. Cooking with coconut products like coconut oil, coconut milk, drink coconut water, use shredded coconut in curry, dried coconut snacks has saved from losing weight further.

No roti or rice. I know it is extremely difficult. To reduce the pain, it is required to eat other healthy foods and maintain daily calories intake. Dry fruits, dates, curd, milk, olive oil are high in calories. And offcourse five cups of Vegies everyday.

However, people with AS are intolerant to various foods including above. LSD or NSD is individual journey of every person with AS.

Exercise like swimming gives me relief from stiffness.

Cheers
