If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi there,
I have been in talks with my doctor concerning starting a new treatment, he has recommended Enbrel and I will be discussing it more with him next month at our appointment. I don't really like the idea of taking a shot every week, I didn't even like every two weeks when I was taking Humira, psychologically I just haven't been able to accept these drugs in my system and want to hold off on them as much as possible. I haven't looked into Simponi a whole lot, but I heard it is only given once a month? Does anyone have experience with Simponi, good or bad? I appreciate your time, thank you.

I will have soon.
I have recently been diagnosed with AS after about 20 years of pain and have met the criteria for the biologics. My Rheumy gave me the choice of which one to chose and decided an injection every four weeks would be the way to go.
I currently have the needle in my fridge, waiting for the Simponi nurse educator to contact me so I can be taught to self inject. Thinking of taking it to my GP in the meantime, I'm hurting SO much at the moment and just want to get started.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I have been on Simponi for 2 years I believe. I have been on Enbrel and Humira and found them all to work the same with no adverse reactions.

Simponi was good for me, just didn't hold on long enough. Lots of people have used it for much longer, though.
Before Simponi, I took Remicade and Enbrel. Now taking Humira.
Doing the shot is easy. I used both the auto device and the prefilled syringe. Prefer the syringe. As auto injectors go, Simponi's is the best-no pain! Really.

My son and I are on Simponi for approaching 3 years now. Got on it as soon as pharmacy had it available. Once a month and that there were very few allergic reactions were the draw for us.
It has kept us symptom free for 3 years now

No families take so little medicine as those of doctors, except those of apothecaries.

I had my first Simponi shot yesterday, using the pre filled syringe. Apart from a little pain at the injection site, all went well.
Unfortunately, there were no miracles when I woke this morning. I just need to have patience. I really can't wait to start feeling better.

Along about the week before 2nd dose, I started realizing it was working. Good luck.
