If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I hear about the "Fibro Fog" (don't have Fibro as far as I know) but reading symptoms, I wonder.
Since I don't (thinking) have it but swear something is crazy because the description fits me to a "T", is there something like "Fibro Fog" for AS?

I don't think there is a medical "AS fog" but I think it's a fog for all chronic illnesses. I know there is Chemo Brain and Fibro Fog so why not! If it fits, use it:-)

There are still so many myths and misconceptions out there. I read another one today that was recently published and said the "AS is a Male Disease" comment.
It seriously had to come from antiquated data. When the split is 40/60 or 45/55, that just is misleading when the clinical studies are knowingly, imbalanced.

Hi Georgia,
I have Fibro and have bad fog sometimes. It is awful. I haven't heard anyone in the years and support groups that I have been with say that they have fog with A.S. though.
Adrenal problems or hormone problems can also cause fog. If you think you might have Fibro then message me and I can give you the real scoop that the web doesn't touch on.

I read something yesterday about Fibro I and Fibro II (that comes with AS). That is what is making me wonder. I just feel like I'm trying to read or interpret a blank page sometimes.
Today has been a total fog. I can read something over and over and still find myself clueless what I read. I can type something and read it and it reads right but when I go back, it makes no sense. There obviously is a disconnect between the fingers and the brain. As well, I can be talking and go totally blank and NOTHING comes to mind...it's blank.

So sorry Georgia, I knew when mine is bad, I can't even read a recipe and I start to cry and my husband takes over and finishes it for me. It's horrible stuff.

Hi centralgagal, I have Fibro and the pain and fog can be overwhelming. Even simple tasks seem to be too much. I have read things that I have written on line and it is usually full of errors. Even after I have read it over and over to make sure it is correct. I also seem to have a problems remembering certain words or can't finish a sentence because I can't think of the words I am looking for. I had these problems before I was diagnosed with Fibro but it has gotten worse over time. That is one of the problems I have posting because I can't seem to find the words or put my thoughts together...so I don't even try. I think the fog is all part of having AS and being on all the different medications. Hope you don't have Fibro.
I can not defeat you but I will not let you win

I often think that my brain is working so hard to tell me over and over "I'm hurting" that perhaps it goes into mental shut down. I know concentrating on what I read and interpreting it is a frequent challenge. Who knows...
So many of us experience this so overlooking a word here and there is just what we do....we aren't in a typing contest.
The only reason I question this is I have always had a great acuity with facts and recalling things and I've have several incidents in the last month where I had zero ability to formulate a thought and it was scary.
I think you may be right Jeff that it can be affiliated with the whole picture of AS. BTW - hope that work is going well for you! So impressed that you reached out to get back into it. I miss it but had no choice (based on what I had been doing).

Thanks Pea - I DO understand that. Mine is mostly a connection between what my eyes see and what my brains hears. I can read something over and over and have no clue what I read.
It's frustrating...and scary since I have no one to turn to for help. I just have to keep at it! ...but I have friends here and that a lot in my emotional bank
