Well, some things have changed a bit since the last time I posted here. Back in November things were going pretty good. My nightly rib pain had diminished significantly. The new doc I was seeing how did all those digestive tests on me put me on Creon to help with the digestion. That's where things started to fall apart. I'll admit that around the holidays I did indulge in more treats that I should have, but for the most part stuck to what I had been doing which as LSD and a bit of rice here and other gluten free things from time to time. Since then, my rib pain has been back with a force and I've had a tough time getting it to subside again.

I thought about doing a juice fast again, but interestingly enough when I did a green juice fast last time, I literally went to the bathroom right after drinking each juice and had violent diarrhea. It's like my body was literally rejecting all the juice so I opted to not do a fast.

Also, I've had the remaining amalgam fillings out of my mouth this past month so no more mercury! But next comes the process of chelating it all out. Last time I test it was ridiculously high. More money for tests and chelation, yippie!

And today I went back to the doc I've been seeing lately that did all those digestion tests. He's an allergist so he comes at things from that point of view. We had another stool test done about 3 weeks ago when my pain had really peaked. I was expecting to see Klebs, candida all the really good stuff :), but surprisingly there was no candida and get this.....no klebs! The last two tests we did the klebs came up "moderately" abundant and candida came up the first time, but not since then and now there are no klebs either? Could this be an error? My rib pain has been a good 4-5 out of 10 most nights as of late. His theory (an allergist perspective remember) is that I'm allergic to something in the air and environment. He does believe in the food connection too and wants to do a huge food panel on me as well but for now, wants to put me on a prescription allergy medicine that he says is for the "inflammatory histimines". I'm sure it'll be nice for my spring allergies which have been acting up, but as far as my rib pain, I doubt this will touch it.

I'm at the point where I've found a doc here in Colorado that prescribes LDN to those with AS. Thinking of paying him a visit......not sure what else to try at this point.

The test is absolutely in error. You have PLENTY of Klebsiella germs--suppose that none exited Your body? Suppose ALL of them decided to make a turn into Your lymph nodes?! Kleb stool testing is faulty, inaccurate, and the assumptions with regard to AS. And NO C. albicans and You believe that result?!!

The FACT of this germ is not the issue--these tests IGNORE levels below some arbitrary threshold (for NORMAL individuals).

It is the way we REACT to the germ, unlike normal individuals, that determines disease.

Testing for this germ is completely useless; "klebs gone" is just plain impossible!

Congratulations for eliminating the Hg from teeth--now if chelation will getter it from Your system enough, that would be great, but requires many infusions--so please don't waste money (or time) on Kleb testing!

It should not take too long to get back to lower pain levels, but I don't know what the ingredients of creon are in addition to enzymes; there is too often a starchy substrate. I took boron capsules that were TEENY (once a day) and had potato starch as a filler--and even that tiny amount caused a flare!

One step forward sometimes accompanies several baby learning steps back!

HEALTH,
John

Interesting thread.

Could the messing about with your teeth have contributed to a flare? ( regardless of mercury)

My husband has had teeth problems; a health worker linked this to possible AS flare.

Hi Bel-

Ive had the pain pretty much consistently for the past 5 years. It started to go down a bit when I started the diet, but I've never been able to fully eliminate it to date. This round of pain was in effect long before I messed with my teeth and afterwards I didn't feel any worse nor any better for that matter.

As far as your husband, I'm not sure exactly. My goal was to eliminate the mercury since I had 9 fillings worth and my mercury test was really high. I'm sure on some level it prohibits me from getting better.

Jason
