Thanks Rumble. I don't tolerate pain meds at all. They really wire me and keep me from sleeping. MSContin works pretty good but I don't like the Intestinal problems from it. I weaned myself off of it a couple of years ago for tummy relief. I broke down and took one this afternoon. I was "almost" in tears. Our son-in-law came in and was too sympathetic loving on me and I just about lost it. :o) I am about to decide there is no glory in being tough. :o) I realize that sometimes shedding some tears can be good for me. It just tears my family up so I try to be tough.

How are you? I haven't been on FB since about 5:00 this a.m. to check you out. :o)

Hugs

You have such a positive attitude and are such an inspiration for the rest of us.

Hoping the neurosurgeons have new ideas; i do find that with new doctors often come new ideas. they may not be thinking outside the box, but they have a different box of ideas to choose from, so more doctors come more things to try. and having that hope helps keep us positive.

Do treat the pain more if you need too. For me I find not only meds, but a fair amount of sitting in my recliner on ice and/or heat, sometimes both at the same time (the heating pad on one part of the body makes the ice that's necessary on another part not seem so cold), helps quite a bit with the pain.

Thank you Sue. You are a real inspiration to me too. My husband reminds me all of the time that I am a much happier camper when I spend time with my friends here. :o)

I am taking the meds that the pain management dr. told me to take and I will be seeing the rheumatologist this week. The pain management dr. leaves the script writing to the rheumatologist. My heating pad just died!! I feel like we need to have a service, it has been such a close friend for a long time. I am waiting until tomorrow to get one. This one was back size with a thermostat an timer and drew moisture out of the air. I had used it for probably 12 years. My husband checked one place here but tomorrow I will call my brother who has Home Health supplies with his business and if he doesn't have it, he will get it for me. I am spoiled to the certain one. Ice really does help too. I am in my recliner at the moment! Sometimes using heat and ice at the same time makes me feel like my brain doesn't know what is happening. :o)

Hugs.

that sounds like a great heating pad; i just get one at the local drug store, but have been told they have better ones that i should look into. used so much, i have a backup ready to go when the current one dies.

I must be a slow learner. It seems I have learned so many lessons the hard way. I suppose as long as I learn them. smile

I hope you have a good day.

Thanks Kat. I would take you up on it. :o) These middle of the night forays to the recliner and my Book are getting old. I was up from 2:00 until 3:30 and never went back to sleep and just got up about 4:45.

I am not seeing the Neuro until April 3rd. Spring Break trips are getting in the way. OKC schools are year round schools and they are out for 2 weeks. Ours is just out one. The pain management dr. really tried to get me in but it didn't work. There would not have been enough time to get something done anyway. Maybe he will be rested. :o)

I appreciate you. Hope you have a good day.

Hugs.

My husband liked the last one he got enough to go buy the last two they had in stock. Just in case. Don't wait too long. laugh it was from Walgreens. Nothing special, but he liked it. And they seem to have an auto-off setting, which is impossible to avoid. Yes, safer, but doesn't help if you are asleep and it goes off and you get stiff 'cause you got cold again. Some 'improvements' suck.
