If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

for me, its very clear that when i have an inflamed bowel (diarrhea, not digesting my food) is when my D drops. when not flaring, it goes up and up with the supplements. but when my bowel flares, it drops despite the supplements.
it can go up and up in the winter when its cloudy and snowy out and i'm inside.
and it can go down and down through the summer, when i'm outside a lot, walking around in shorts and sleeveless shirts and no sunscreen except on my face.
for me, its related to my gut. and perhaps due to not digesting my food properly during that time, i think that's the direct cause for me.

Hi Sue, Very mysterious indeed., because one would expect the opposite .... levels to go up in summer and go down in winter ! Do you take less supplement in the summer ? Have you got a tissue transglutaminase test to rule out celiac ? P

Hello everyone. I am starting my supplementation experiment today, 17/4/2012. I will be taking 100 micrograms (4000 international units) of Vitamin D3 per day and one A-z general multivitamin as well. I am on a normal starch , non vegetarian diet. Mostly neck pain, some back pain, and some knee pain. I do keep more precise scoring system, but won't bore you with that.

my opinion, mostly from my own experience and doctors' advice. don't start the vit D until you do the blood test. maybe you already have. and as others have said, a simple blood test that your doctors should be amenable to, even if you have to ask for it. well, here in the U.S. at least. as mine has not stabilized, either goes up and up or down and down, we get it tested every few months when i get other things tested, always thrown in. like the thyroid is tested every 6 months by endocrinologist, so usually tested at that point. and sometimes in between by other doctors. then, if it is low and needs to be raised, doctors put people on 50,000 U weekly til it goes up, then they maintain it with approx. the dosage you are stating you will take. my opinion is that if it is low, this amount won't do much for you. for me, even at 30, took several months at 50,000 U weekly to get into the normal range. then monthly, but it dropped, so weekly, then twice monthly, but anything other than weekly and it was dropping. so, i got it up to the 60s with weekly 50,000 U, then trying to maintain with 5000 U daily. if that doesn't work, it'll be back to the 50,000 U prescription. and if you are already at a normal level, while this may help you maintain that, again, i don't see where it will do much for you, that isn't already there. and if it was already normal without the supplementation, then you really wouldn't need the supplementation, i would think. but, maybe i am wrong. good luck with it!

http://www.easy-immune-health.com/Normal-Vitamin-D-level.htmlUseful monograph - BTW, how is Vit-D3 an alternative? Quizzical look, question mark? (Just interested - Vit-D is so important for all of us, and is not an alternative to, well, anything? Yes?). ('Smile'). Yes, you need to get yr values upto date. Mine are desp, will be getting mine checked on soon. Go well -

It should be in the pharmaceutical area, which is described as : "A list of drugs used to fight AS and user evaluations of those drugs." That description fits better with what i am trying to do, I will restart thread there.

This is the latest from France - and just collected my blood results (done for free as my bloods were done also for free in the UK) up from 9 to 32 - huzzah. Excellent. Anyway, at present, including today, much about D3 in the Fr. media, from radio to various media outlets (follows auto-translate from my fave Fr. mag (this is the on-line version, a freeby) : http://www.lepoint.fr/chroniqueurs-du-po...-1454556_57.phpBy ANNE JEANBLANC Posted to wrong forum - DOH. Please see medications for AS forum, where I have posted the auto-translation.
