the rest of the year, for me, its mainly chocolate. good dark chocolate.

lately my favorite thing to do is make chocolate bark. i had had no idea how easy this is:
1. melt 16 oz good dark chocolate in the microwave, in a ceramic bowl. ~30 seconds at a time, stir with silicone spatula in between. doesn't take but a few minutes.
2. when melted, pour onto parchment paper covering a cookie tray. spread with the silicone spatula.
3. sprinkle on dried fruit and nuts: lately my favorite mix is hazelnuts pieces, pecan pieces, dried blueberries, dried cherries. ~1/4 cup each.
4. pat down with the silicone spatula. spatula.
5. cool, break into pieces, store in an airtight tin.

but easter baskets bring out the nostalgia.

my other year round favorite is butterfingers (more peanut butter!) but i rarely eat that anymore; too addictive, too much sugar. but oh so good.

Peeps! I just love Peeps. I am so unhappy when you can't find them in the stores. They should be around all year. I bought up a bunch on Monday at half price, the will be gone soon, even if I did hide them.

I also hate black licorice and red hots. I do like Jelly Bellies.
