Bingo.. we have a winner.

Changes in the atmospheric pressure change the amount of fluid and therefore pressure in the joints (causing pain).

When I was younger, my dad had AS already for years at the time could always tell me when a front was moving in.

No doubt, its getting cold and damp here in Wisconsin and everything aches a little more. Why I don't live in the desert somewhere is beyond me. I always feel better in AZ or Mexico when we vacation there.

I am dying today. Just straight up bone crushing pain. Pressure is dropping. Anybody here try a pressure chamber treatment? My husband wants to buy me one to sleep in but I would probably just have to stay in it for the next 9 month's. I am too claustrophobic to even try a treatment. I went one time and back out as he was about to close the door. I wish there was a pill for it!

Thank you everyone for your input. We had a cold winter and a cold wet spring this year. I was miseralbe the whole time. Summer did not last long enough. My pain seems to just melt away if I can be in the warm sunshine. I think it is time to explore the southwest. Michigan is killing me.

The cold winter months are the worst for me. Not good when you consider winter here is 9 months. Actually calling for our first snowflake to fall tonight. Needless to say I have been reclined with my heating pad on my back for the last 2 days.
