LMAO - "Trying to go deeper (which wasn't going to happen since she was attached to me by the leash and I was fully dressed) and biting at the water." This is so funny (Sorry). It brings back memories of another one of my puppies, the incident was quite different though. "Tara", was being walked by my step-son. Richard, was twelve but had the framework of eight year old. Tara, couldn't get to the part fast enough - Richard was scared to let her go - Tara, ended up dragging Richard to the park. I was stopped by a police officer one time, because Tara, was going for her daily walk. The police officer, told me I had to have her on a lease . Tara alway walked in front of me just beyond my reach, no further. As the police officer insisted, I sat down where I was and Tara, as she always did, came up and kissed me, lease was on. Your lucky, your puppy didn't insist. I had visions of you sitting, dress and all in a foot of water.

I was a bad mommy yesterday to Makaylah, I cut two of her nails too short (Her nails are black - you can't tell where you have to stop), my word, I didn't think she could bleed so much. Beige carpets, and bloody paw prints everywhere. Had to get some liquid bandage, that didn't stop the bleeding. Finally I decided to mix flour, and liquid bandage - that seemed to do the job. After I got the bleeding to stop, she turned and gave me a kiss. Boy, did I feel so bad.

Hi Lisa, Makaylah's walks are now taking place far from the burr patch. Next two weeks we are going to a dog park, and to the malls for a walk. My walker is going on holidays.

No burrs, the last couple of days, and both nights she has had two good nights sleep.

Hugs

Hi Sheri,

When I was much younger, I lived on a farm. We had animals (cats, dogs and sheep), everywhere. Gosh, could remember when my mother, use to bring some of the premi lambs into the house, to give them extra attention. I loved having pets around. I am sure you will love a kitten or two.

laugh2 It would have been funny after the fact if she had pulled me in. Water is relatively new for her. Up to now, water comes in bowls, you see. So a lake full of it is a revelation to her.

Your story about Tara is sweet. Aleks actually did pull me over last Saturday. I had her by the collar to bring her into the house, but she wanted to go back out to the yard at the cottage. The result was that my left knee made intimate contact with a stand of granite. I have a not so lovely scrape just below my knee. argh. She was so upset that she'd hurt me. Really, landing in water wouldn't have hurt so much!

You're brave to clip Makaylah's nails yourself, given that they're black. Aleksandra's nails are black too, so we take her to a groomer for that. We can't really afford it, but didn't want to take the chance that we'd clip a cuticle on her. I bet you felt bad. Oh my. hugss

Warm hugs,

Kat
