yes, thank you Keith! this was all very helpful information. and MaryCay, you aren't the only one struggling with giving up eggs and nuts. but after clearing up painful inflammation in my knees with a 3-day fruit fast, when i gradually added foods back, my knees started to flare again after having one egg and some almonds.

i haven't read Rob Wolfs book yet and wasn't aware that he had an auto-immune protocol. very interesting since i had just had that experience with eggs and nuts.

has anyone ever tested for food sensitivities with the bax auro method? i think i'm going to try it next week. fairly inexpensive for the initial visit to find out what you are sensitive to. my question is this, and Keith, maybe you will know, if the bax auro doesn't show that i have a sensitivity to eggs or nuts, should i still not eat them for the auto-immune benefits? or if it shows that my body is ok with them then will they perhaps not have an affect against my immune system?

and thanks also for the info on making broth. i came off of my first fast with a broth made from chicken bones that had previous been cooked and the blog is right, there wasn't the same gelatin as what i had hoped for. it tasted good and felt very nourishing but was missing something. i'm excited to make some more now that i have full instructions! it would be excellent to sip on while i'm cooking dinner each night. that's a pretty hungry time of day for me...

I followed almost this exact diet (without the supplements) for a long time and definitely had some good results - however, histamine intolerance gave me huge issues. I had to eat all my food cooked fresh or I would get so tired after eating and I couldn't eat any fish.
