Hey Tommy,

Remission is actually possible. My brother's AS has been in remission for, gosh, I don't know how many years now. I'm going to guess about 15. For the first half of those years he would still occasionally get iritis but he hasn't even had iritis for probably 8-10 yrs or so now. He has no pain and needs no medications, however, his AS was atypical from the beginning.

It always surprises my Rheumy to hear that he is still doing so well! smile

Congratulations! I am very happy for you. I hope you continue to do well. I am glad you are going to check the bone density. I am very blessed that my bone density has stayed really good after all of these years of disease and steroids.
