i read in a book lately - enzyemes are plentiful in fresh fruits, lettuce, salads and raw veggies. (rabbit food). food thats green will keep ya insides clean!! this book suggests cooking veggies only slightly as raw can be too harsh on ya gut to begin with if ya not used to eating them.

hey tink,

sorry i havent got back to u til now. ive been reading at the enzyme stuff site on and off trying to devise a plan and which enzymes to take using their guidance tools. i found a brand called enzymedics and guess what? they use NO FILLERS! wooo hooo. only thing is they dont offer wobenzym and i cant seem to find one without starch. its #2 in sales in germany next to aspirin.. so they say.

funny thing is over a month ago i ran into wobenzym and searched it here at KA. zark implied he used a similar formula, but not 'wobenzym' specifically, with positive results at first but then had to wait a few weeks to take it again for it to work again. maybe he should have taken more at a time once the effect started to wear? dunno. it was only when u posted about enzymes that anything really clicked in my head of how helpful this supplimenting 'could' be.

ive been puting lactase in my milk and been able to drink it ok, yay! there are enzymes to digest everything even diff types of starch! interesting thought for those who have had success with NSD and want to be more flexible with their diet. if klebs eats undigested starch then what happens if your enzyme digests it? no buffet for bad guys? i have a reply for sjlc regarding milkfat!

as for brushing.. i THINK u are to brush towards lower abs so the lymphs drain to colon so u can poo it out.

wonder had u followed those instructions from the natural specialist if u would have developed AS? interesting how things come back around and finally make sense huh? hindsight i suppose smile

im glad u wanna be in this together smile of course we all r really lol. but i mean on this little side trail.

i should search more enzyme stuff here to see how much ppl have really tried it out.

im still trying to process everything so ill get back with u after my appt. ahhh info overload lol!

sorry youve fallen off the wagon a little but grab my hand and get back on... u can do it smile

your friend too,
sunny

This post is heading inthe direction I've been wanting to take. This winter has been a tough one physically, not doing as well on diet either.so we,ve been researching and have decided to buy a Vitamix for the house because i want to drink my veggies and do more raw foods. Now to save up for a fermenting crock:)
still dragging my heels on that.

I wanted to say I chatted with the purveyor of the natural supplements store I go to about enzymes recently. She said that taken with food they aid digestion/breakdown but taken between meals they help inflammation. Of course, I walked away from that thinking I need to take them with AND between meals.

Take care, MaryCay

Hey Sunny
I am not on here every day by any means, glad to hear you have been doing plenty of research, hon.
I have been thinking about this a lot too.
It made me wonder if this plays a part in peoples success or failure, or anywhere in between on the NSD.
Maybe if people give up starch but eat mainly cooked food and also nuts (which lots of us do) and also cheese and white sugar etc, this could really scew the results, don't you think?

This is all extremely interesting, and like you I intend to look into it much more.

Glad to hear about the milk success! I hope against hope that this could be the beginning of you being able to add more back into your diet instead of striking things off all the time... let's keep everything crossed, hey grin
