""Back in September last year I finally had an SI Xray done. They took one film, with me lying flat on my stomach on the table. It was reported in true NHS fashion in two sentences"".

Good to read nice comment apropos our splendid Health service. Thank you.

I like to describe NHS as "speed-medicine" - the health service parallel to speed-dating. 10 minutes maximum for a full assessment, get to describe one symptom (two if you are really sneaky) and get sent off for one lot of tests.

How odd. In my 60 plus years of experience of the NHS I have found it to be very good in all ways. Doctors always listen and take note of my concerns and what I have to say and have always acted upon those concerns.

I have found the service to be splendid in every way. an excellent model for other health care systems around the world. I am sorry that you haven't.
