If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

This is what I got Molly: The researchers used individual questions to discriminate between people with and without AS. Question items with a significant positive relationship to AS included male sex as well as others. While it seems reasonable to expect that disease screening be gender-blind, in fact, gender plays an important role in determining a person's likelihood of having a particular disease.
We know that many women get this disease. However, we cannot ignore the fact that among people with similar symptoms, the male is more likely to demonstrate as having AS. Any research project that chose to ignore this fact would not be considered to be valid.Regarding the answer you got from SAA: raise the economic burden (additional medical evaluations) from the payer perspective To translate for those who are not intimately involved with the American health care system, "payer" = "insurance company".

There were many posters at SAA that complained about that test. Many women who answered the questions were told that they didn't have AS. If the same women answered all the questions in the same way but checked the male box, they were told they were positive for AS. I don't think SAA will be backing that test for long. They have the same situation that we have here, many women who are negative on the blood test but end up, after many years of pain, with damage to their SIJ showing up on x-rays and MRIs.
I have read many of the publications from SAA and I found them very helpful.

Dnna - On eis not saying that the SAA is UNhelpful in the general sense, what we are saying is, that this test is an abomination. It should either be scrapped entirely or changed. It is totally skewered towards the male as though AS were ONLY a male disease. Which as we all know is rubish. Am not letting this go, will be responding to the. The SAA aint doin themselves any favours and let's face it, the SAA is supposed to be patient supportive, well, this test aint supportive, not unless one is male!
Glad to hear that SAA members are up in arms about it, TG they aren't sitting back in meek acceptance...

I also come up as 'negative'. Better leave this site and stop taking my Remicade, NSAIDs and Prednisolone (as they clearly wont help me now I don't have inflammatory back pain)...
