Hi Arindam, I set a time to quit...when we moved over a month ago was to be my start date. However, the stress of moving, etc, it didn't work out that way. Gave myself a break, and said Monday. Smoke your brains out all weekend...do NOT have even one left in pack when ya go to bed on Sunday night..and get an electronic ciggie, nicotine gum, or the patch if you need it. Just call yourself a "non-smoker". Only been 5 days for me. Have had to avoid temptation, friends who smoke for first few days, and alcohol. Not easy...but i already feel sooo much better!! Good luck,..and you CAN do it if you really want to. But you have to want to.  Cheers, Steph

How's it going, Steph?? I'm talking to my pharmacist today about the best option for me! I refuse to finish this week as a fully fledged smoker!! Either I go cold turkey or I use some kind of aid. Either way, it's got to stop!

Kat...it's a full week today as a non-smoker! yay! I am not using the electric ciggy very much at all. Had a bit of a struggle Saturday night as I was out at a fundraiser having a few drinks. Was tough, but got through it! Good luck to you! You'll figure it out, and do just fine! Youll need a distraction though.  Cheers, Steph

Talked to my pharmacist at lunch and she suggested the nicotine puffer for me. Gonna smoke out the day and see what tomorrow brings. Will start with no cigs in my purse.
