Last Friday was not a good day. I stayed in bed most of the day getting up every once in a while to take meds or eat a little something. I managed to eat a bowl of ice cream and have a little toast. The rest of the time was sleep time, Fading in and out of conscienceness at different points during the day. A good waste of a day.

Saturday and Sunday were not that much better.

I did not pace myself the week before and paid for it. You would have thought I would have learned that by now.

I hope you are doing okay now Jeff. I just think you never know how you're going to go. I can have a really big few days and think "I'm going to pay for it now!" and I end up okay. Then out of nowhere - I am knocked for six! This thing is really unpredictable. (very unsettling)
Positive wishes to you,
Debra

Thanks Debra,
Still feel like I'm in recovery mode but feeling more like my crappy old self as time goes by.I have my work schedule "adjusted" and modified to meet my needs. Is this permanant? a "small step down." I do the same thing and question whether or not I will pay for running myself down. Sometimes you get lucky. I think most of us are always worried about running themselves down or draining all their energy. No reserve gas tank anymore to tap into when you run yourself out of gas..

Sue

Thanks

Look at all the "down time" all of us have to deal with. Everyone has to learn how to deal with us as our needs change. My boss has been accomadating. My doctor said that over work will put me in the disability catagory real quick. One day at a time.

Hi Jeff,
Sorry to hear this hope you get over it soon. You really should know better shouldn't you with AS you have to pace your self as you know. Still we all make blips and learn from them.
All the best to you.

It happens. SOmetimes it ain't even a matter of overdoing it. I can never figure this thing out. SOmetimes I overdo it and find it fires up my enrgy level and other times I overdo it and pay for days like the way you did.

I hope by now you are felling better.

It is just part of having AS. Some days we feel good and then it catches up to us and POW! it's hit you. Rest as much as you need to.
