Salsa is a spicy condiment made mostly of chopped tomatoes, green and hot peppers, and onions that are served on top of tortilla (corn) chips. To make nachos, spicy meat and cheese are added to make a delicious south western dish.

the said forum is not "NSD forum", its heading is "NSD and diet related".
your post is a "diet related caution" isnt it?

Yes - but it was in response to all the Atkins-related diet posts that have been showing up in this forum lately.

This is not Wendy's fault, it is my fault. Wendy did try to speak to me privately about my over talking about the diet etc, but I did not take as much notice as I should have.

Since being here I have made certain assumptions about the site and the diet and several other things, that I am now seeing are not quit correct.

I think Wendy was right to raise the caution, at least in relation to my posts, because I am new here and I am not really qualified to give advice, especially to newcomers.

I genuinely believe that when Wendy first made the comments, they were made with good intention and I do not think it was her intention to cause upset

I have observed everything that has been said and I also realise that others that have commented on Wendys comments are only expressing their view and that it is not really my business, and I am not trying to undermine anybody here.

But because I know in my heart Wendy was not trying to cause trouble for me, and that I had written several things where I myself should have perhaps given a better explanation ie explained I am not yet diagnosed, I am not a doctor, and my views are not typical of the site in general, in reference to the things I have posted I do think Wendy was being reasonable

Wendy is the moderator on this site and if I do not respond to her when she sends me a PM then she is left with no choice but to repremand me in public

I am hoping with sincere humbleness that Wendy will accept my apology, and I do hope we can start a fresh, because I really need you guys

Love Joanne

My name is Joanne and I am about to go for tests for AS. Any advice would be much appreciated

dont be too hard on yourself Joanne, its no ones fault about anything. when i first joined i was posting stuff all over the place. like asking for NSD recipes links in the support group section, all sorts. In the end i just Pm'ed MIG and said "please feel free to relocate any of my posted to the correct section" because i was just getting lost in here.
It all ends up sorting itself out as we all live happily ever after fighting our AS what ever way we know best.

You don't need to apologise, Joanne. You have always been extremely respectful to everyone, including me.

I'm very glad to know that my suggestions in this thread have not upset you. I had no intention of reprimanding you - I was just trying to remind people to be cautious before embarking on an extreme diet because I had come across that study which suggested that there are risks associated with these diets and there had been a lot of postings promoting that diet recently.

It was kind of you to make this post. You are right that my post was made with good intentions. I care deeply for the folks on KA and spend a lot of time trying to word things to avoid upsetting anyone. However, diet has been a touchy subject on KA for many years so there was a risk in posting any kind of caution. I thought I had worded it carefully enough to avoid triggering anyone but obviously I was wrong.

I wish you the best of luck in battling your illness, whatever it turns out to be.

Deb, I have been here a long time, don't post much, but read every day. I came in today and read your last comment, then went back and read the whole thing. I would not have even commented if I had not.

If you don't have time to go back and see what you took offense to, let me give you my condensed version. You put words and intent into Wendy's mouth and then came back and attacked her for them.

I hope you don't take this as an attack, just constructive criticism,if one wants to they can find something to be offended by on this or any forum. If I have learned anything from my yrs. on the net, it is that a little thicker skin really helps.
Good Luck, and I hope you stick around
J.R.
