If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Does anyone have a good website for the starch content of nuts? I have been looking around and am finding A LOT of conflicting information. If so, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

dunno did you check 'starch content of foods' on the front page of diet forum? as far as i know [im allergic so i dont pay attention] blanched almonds and certain brands of walnuts and certain pine nuts have been reported as starch free. look for a thread here titled 'walnuts vs almonds' or vice versa. it was posted by drizzit w/in past 3-4 mos. it may or may not be helpful.

im pretty sure sunflower seeds [at least in usa] are starchy. coconut 'can' be too, but sometimes not. unsure of anything else on your list.

Awh, thanks ever so much for replying. I know this elimination process can be wearisome, I went through similar when i was sorting out my ketogenic diet
I do not like carbs, neither starch or suar, all of them concern me. Soon i am going to fast. This will help me keep off both
I used to fast a fair bit in the past but i have not been doing so as much lately. I have no idea why my enthusiasm has wained but i do know fasting is nowhere near as bad when i do it, as I percieve it is going to be
I will check my sunflower seeds and coconut with iodine
Again thank you
Love joanne

I did check it, but our KickAS list shows coconut as safe where other sites show coconut as high starch. I'm allergic to almonds, but I love walnuts and pecans. I just found another site that shows pecans as having less starch than walnuts. Maybe my doctor can shed some light on this? I'll ask when I see her in September!

erica.. are you testing anything w/ iodine? it turns black when starch is present. do Not eat the iodine!! do you have carol sinclairs book? if you are going to give the Nsd a go iodine testing is crucial. otherwise your gonna have a headache over this diet for no reason and possibly no results b/c youll unknowingly be eating starch. im just trying to help girl good luck
