If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

P.S. apples are among the worst offenders for starchy fruit, can go as black as bread... Carol Sinclair mentioned this, and I discovered the hard way that buying organic apples grown in the local area does not necessarily avoid this problem.
So, when doing an apple fast it seems wise to buy a variety of apples and iodine test to find the best variety available. Also try to buy the ripest ones, because Light mentioned better luck with those.

Hey Sam,
Congrats on finally making a commitment that could change your life! I know mine was. However, you kind of have to have blind faith at the beginning. It took me 3 months of NS no dairy to get to a 0 - 1 on the pain scale, but now I am about a million times happier with my life than before. FWIW I also started with a 3 day apple fast, I cracked on day 3. I don't know if it helped or not.
Don't give up even if you are still in pain after 1 or 2 months!
Jake

Thank you for your concern! I'm doing ok, a little over 48 hours in. I feel rough, but I'm making it. Yes, my doc said I can stop Enbrel right away, but I haven't asked him about Celebrex yet.

Wow, how would you know about the Candida thing? I'm not familiar at all with how that works. Is it a simple test my doc can do? Thanks for the advice too, I need ALL I can get!

Thank you! I'm really excited! I'm a little over 48 hours in and I do feel crummy, but I'll make it until tomorrow at lunch! It's so encouraging to hear success stories of how it has changed lives. I pray this works and works quickly, but I wont' give up. :-)
Thank you!!!!

Well, here is an update for everyone. I finished the three days of apples and 3 ounces of olive oil. Unfortunately I think the apples I ate were starchy, despite following Edgar Cayce's specification for Jonathan variety. Since the apple part has been over, I've had plains scrambled eggs, chicken breasts, spinach salad with olive oil, and scallops. I made the kale chips this morning, and ate 5 or 6, but I've been sick ever since, burping kale. Gross. I threw it out and will not be eating kale ever again. I went to the store and bought the almond flour and coconut powder along with loads of fresh produce on the safe list. I also bought a watermelon (I thought it was supposed to be safe) Cut the whole thing up, tested a piece and it turned black I cried so hard. I didn't realize how emotional going on this NSD would be. Tonight, we're having steak and asparagus, and I'm very much looking forward to "normal" food. I'm just so hungry. I've lost 9 pounds in the last week. Which is a nice side effect, but still doesn't make it worth it. The day I don't hurt anymore without pills, it will be worth it. I may try to make those molten lava cakes in the recipe section tonight. I've got to find easy stuff I can eat for lunch while I'm at work every day too. Anyway, this is a lot harder than I thought. Physically I can stand the hunger, but emotionally, I'm going through the whole, "why me, maybe it's ok to risk my liver/kidneys and just take all the meds, and most of all, I want PIZZA!" Ha! So I could use some encouragement and hints if you have them. :-) Thanks!!

hey there :]
guess what? i cried A LOT for the first 2-3 weeks! this is a Very emotional transition. i still cry about once a week b/c i want more relief faster and to sit and watch my b/f devour a pizza is enough to bring the tears on. he tries not to eat in front of me. eating is social, and at times, the only thing we can do together. you are not alone my friend!! pain free is the goal.
it should get a little easier as the pain goes away. at least thats what i tell myself. just being honest. if you read tinks post 'confessions of a starch-aholic' youll see others feel the same. *hugs* we are all in this together!!!
AS & Fibro. NSD + no sugar
