63 on eighteen holes? With or without a (sandbagged) handicap?

If you can score like that you're doing it right; it's probably not the golf.

I'm impressed. Before my sudden and violent discovery of AS I played around 200 rounds a year, was a USGA member, held a PGA Instructor card, had a scratch handicap, and was headed to Phoenix to see if I could get on the Champions Tour through Q School.

My best round ever was a 68 on my "home course".

So I'm pretty sure you're not hurting from golf. I hope the pain soon becomes manageable for you.

My dear, I think it's safe not to blame the golf. After all, it doesn't usually cause you huge aches and pains. That being the case, I blame the shoes. And maybe the pillow (but not the reason for the pillow, which I agree, proves what a great dad you are).

You know, if anyone could ever come up with a cause of this mystery, he or she would be stinking rich in a nano-second!!

Warm hugs and feel better soon,

Kat

"...it is for me this ever so delicate balance and effort to achieve equilibrium in an equation for which I am yet to be advised what the variables are."

Yes that's it, by jove!!

I vote that it is a totally random combination of something or other.

Really sorry that you are having to endure this and hope xrays will confirm that your replacements are okay Steve. I bet that has to make you a tad anxious, even as used to this torturous pain as you are. I haven't had that kind of 'drop you when you can't predict when' kinda pain for a luxuriously long time... but I remember enough to not wish it on anyone. It is evil.

So glad you are still enjoying a few precious rounds out there. smile Hope you can get back to it soon and that this will disappear as mysteriously quickly as it struck.

Hugs,
mig

You weren't holding your tongue just right. AS is such a strange animal, anything random can have unexpected results. It just never makes any sense. I am sorry you are hurting.

Steve

Sorry you are hurting. What secret combination of events caused your body to react? So hard for anyone to figue out the parameters and rules of this disease. It seems no matter what you do, you pay for it in some way. Do the wrong thing and there goes your day.

Scientists used lasers to measure the angle of the universe. If the beam returned at 180 degrees it would mean our universe is flat. The beam came back at exactly at 180 degrees. The latest theory is the "M" theory which states our universe is like a soap bubble on a membrane with other soap bubble universes that move and crash into each other creating other soap bubble universes. I look up in the sky and try to imagine all this...then I get a huge headache and go inside.LOL Pretty wierd thing to try and ponder.

Steve treasure these moments...they grow up sooo fast. My girls are now 22 and 23, it seems like it was just yesterday that they were 6 and 7.

You sound like a good dad.
