Amen. While I didn't appreciate it fully at the time, when I was suicidally depressed many years ago, a wise person counselled me gently that 'suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem'. I'll never forget it.

I realize the gist of the lyrics isn't glorifying suicide, the mere subject is enough to evoke a bit of pain in some of us. Choices are made, not always the best ones.

But, Rumble, all of us with AS must choose. Constantly. And sometimes it's a hard choice because AS is a permanent problem with no solutions.

Let me be clear: I AM NOT SUGGESTING ANY COURSE OF ACTION TO ANYONE.
From what I understand people who check out before they're through really tick G-d off.

Donna, I feel for your friend. Given the events in my family this past Autumn, and how long it's taking us to heal from an attempt, I can imagine the hell your friend's family is going through. My heart goes out to them.
