rumble: thank you. in my 32 yrs ive never known her to have enemies. though we all do have ppl who arent fond of us and vice versa right? but not to the point of even THINKING to do something like that!

manatee: thank you. not a clue as to who did this. none of our family has enemies that are psychos to do something so awful.

tink AND manatee: its about 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall and it was pushed off the base onto its front. its scratched, gouged [?], and chipped in multiple places. i dont want it 'repaired' i want ot replaced. her and my dads [still living] pic is on it too so whoever did it got to see the faces of the ppl they were hurting.

saltire: i did try that last night. i thought 'wonder what she would say?' i dont know if im right but something like 'shame on you. thats alright...God sees you.'

Sunny, we had problems with one of our local cemeterys. Several gravestones were damaged or knocked over during a 3 week period. Someone finally caught some drunk teenagers out there at 4 AM. I can't imagine why parents let their kids wander around at all hours. The parents were held responsible for several hundred thousands of dollars in damage.

The thing is, that drunk, board kids don't care who is buried there or who they hurt. It's completely without a thought.

I am so sorry this had to happen to your family.

Your mom would forgive these ignoramuses, so you msut also. Yep, hold them accountable if you can, but choosing to forgive the louses prevents them from control you.

Sunny, I'm so sorry to hear both about your mother and about the disgusting disrespect evidenced by whomever did this. I can't think it would be personal, given how you describe her and so, must think that it was maddeningly arbitrary. There is no accounting for some people and I'm sorry you've been hurt by it.

still dont know who did it, probably never will. just would be nice to have THEM responsible for thier actions. instead, not only does our family have to deal w/ knowing the stone is no longer 'perfect', but getting it fixed is on US too.

i hope somebody got their foot smashed when it fell! jerks. then again if a foot did get smashed, itd prob be an innocent one [the one telling them to stop] who just happened to be w/ the jerks who did it ya know? it just doesnt seem to work out.
