If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

So would a can of beets, juice and all, be good? I could totally do that. L'Arginine competes with Lysine. I take Lysine for my ocular Herpes. I also have hypertension. Do you know how to take both without them depleting each other?

Sorry Miki - unable to help out here. will have to ask your doctor...or, probably better still, your pharmacist.
But do read the full article on beetroot juice that I have just posted on.
Take care -

Thanks, Molly, I will. Now I'm more confused. I eat lots of arginine rich foods as in chocolate, nuts and brown rice, so I guess I'll continue to supplement with lysine until my eye is better (22 months and counting for that) and not mess with arginine supplementation. The study also noted that while bp dropped right after ingestion of nitrate/beetroot, it rose again after a few hours, so one would have to have a sustained release or something. I would just like to know the cause of my primary hypertension and focus on that. I'm sure I don't have a beetroot deficiency.

Interesting and timely. My BP is up a little and I'd like to see it come down...I think I'll give this a try.

Grow beets in your garden everyone! They are impossible to kill as long as you water them, and bugs don't like them much. I grow a bazillion beets every year. Beets rock!

Yah, I'll have to squash the beetles up but good to get him to drink it! Actually, he loves beets. But you know, juicing them with apple might be very nice. Hmmmm. I do have a juicer. Just have to get up the courage to use it. Warm hugs,
Kat
