Hi Sal,

I understand the fakers. In fact, I want to be one. The only problem with collecting disability is.. you can't work. I suppose if you could work and collect a disability payment it would no longer be a disability payment, but an ability payment. Which of course is also called a Salary. Oh well, such is life. You folks in fairyland surely have enough pounds to pay everyone, don't you????? yes

Alan you have nothing to worry about. Simply show them your photos. Heheh. laugh2

Hi Alan,

Mild AS indeed. I wonder what they call severe? Oh yeah, my breadknife sales are cutting new ground, and slicing through the fog... Just so so. But I'm managing to keep up these days.

Lisa.. Where is Alanland??? I'd love to go there. That place has to be filled with wordsmiths and verbosities . Heheh

Hi Lisa,
They want to review our cases every so many years too. I had to do it a few times already, but I've been on disability 20 years, so it hasn't happened very often. If they require you to be checked out, it involves seeing their one of their doctors too. Sometimes recent medical records and paperwork is enough to continue disability without having to be checked out.
Details are here:

Take care,
James

James, yea it kind of scares me since you know how we spend all these BIG bucks we get on SSDI..pttt!

I have been on it for 3 years now so not sure where that fits in...I really think between my 3 Drs. I dont have a problem but who knows, I did have to see 1 Dr. of theirs but I didn't have to go to court or a hearing it was all approved over the phone.

Just breaks my heart to see how many of us that do need it while I know there are others out there scamming the system just robbing it...

How have you been doing?

Hi Lisa,
Big Bucks? Where? laugh2
Thankfully my SS check is enough to cover our rent and utilities. Everything else comes from Brenda's paper route.

Despite some minor problems here and there, I have been doing well. Our car is being a bigger pain than my AS though. I wish we had wings so we could fly to our doctor appointments. If we did, I wouldn't need my cane as much either. laugh2

I hope all is well with you.
Take care,
James

Yes that was my point EXACTLY, you can not live off of SSDI and anyone that thinks you can is goofy. Mine pays our mortgage and that is about it. I am thankful I have it sense I can not work but you will not get rich by any means off of the government..my big issue is making it so hard or terminating the people that really need it versus people that seem to know how to abuse the system.

I know about the car situation..Im so with you on that one.

Hugs
