Hi Loz! Good to see you. smile
Hi mig,

Something about the juxtaposition of the above two lines leads me to believe that someone has told you something about me that they had no business telling you wink

Use Google Earth now and again... but only free version here in Argentina. But from what me and my wife discovered, I think it was satellite images from many, many months ago.

Does anyone know how this works?

Tim

Hi saltire,
I got everything off my chest when i lit that fire some time back. Not that I had a lot on my chest, it is just that I had named each hair and cultivated it since he was a teenager............

Hi Tim.
I use google earth alot (free version), for about 2 years I think, but I don't really know how it works. However, I do know that it uses satellite images and it downloads more images as we look around. Maybe they get the images from places like NASA?

Edited: new images -> more images

Also, for the "street view" in google earth and google maps, they drive around cars with (( BIG )) cameras on top to take pictures of the streets and houses. laugh2 You can see them here. I never saw one yet, but I think it would be neat to see.

Take care,
James

Alan...just go to google and look for the big swimming pool in the southern midwest of the United States (that's Lisa's house). Her pool is a little easier to see from space then the Great Wall of China.

Interesting note on Google Earth...over a year after hurricane Katrina, I typed in my address and there was my house!!! As yall know, it was lost in the hurricane! From there, I panned out and was able to look at our old pre-hurricane neighborhood...it was so cool, I remember thinking wow, you really can go back in time!!! Literally!! The way it works is that the satellite takes pictures of the Earth as it rotates past and the picture stays the same until that area rotates past the satellite again...but yall just can't imagine what it was like to revisit our old neighborhood through Google when in reality, it was all completely gone from the face of the Earth!!

I just went back to Google Earth to see what it shows now...it's post hurricane but still at least 2 years old...there's FEMA campers everywhere....strange!!
