Hi rduran,

welcome to KA!

I take glucosamine and chondroitin, and have found that it has helped to stop a bit of the crunching, and reduced the pain in my neck and thumbs - and maybe the other spots as well - just not as obvious cos they're a bit 'had it' !

Hi:

A good product with glucosamine and chondroitin (that I picked up from info on kickas) is called FeelANew. It contains a COX-2 pain inhibitor that provides pain relief without injuring the stomach smile. On the down side it contains starch.

Oh and Welcome Rduran - I keep reading in health mags that gluco/chon is helpful for osteo of the knee but hasn't shown beneficial in inflammatory arthritis. That said, I just read on another site, an ASer felt it helped their neck and crunching like Louise mentioned .

it helps to have everything with MSM =D I take around 6g a dag at the moment, and I can my achilles tendons are finally stretching out long enough to correct my gait & posture without re-injuring them (as frequently used to happen).
glucosamine and chondoitin will help if you find that your joints are crunchy. I reccommend just buying the powders in bulk rather than paying through the nose for a branded supplement.

I used to take glucosamine and chondroitin, but i found that MSM is what really makes a big difference for me. It seems like the effects of it are different for everyone though from the posts I have seen about it.

I use a supplement MSM glocusamine and chondroitin. I know MSM is the one the helps to ease the pain. While the others are the one that helps the muscles to be healthy.

Move those muscles and joints.
