thank you so much Kat & Michelle for your efforts on behalf of our Big Blue Ball heart

Would like to hear, when you are ready, whether the technology you are proposing would allow BP to cost-efficiently reclaim some of the millions of gallons of oil, or if it would be lo$t to them, would suggest that would be a huge factor as to how interested they might be

My own thoughts are largely about getting away from our big fuel-inefficient cars which feed so much of the fuel addiction that we have

Years ago, I remember the proposal to legislate that all cars must have better MPG standards, it was shut down in congress and tabled for years, no doubt because of the collusion between manufacturers and big oil, and their lobbyists. Last I heard until 2012, for 35 mpg, as if that would be some sort of incredible technological achievement. Meanwhile, in Europe they have higher standards already-

wind power, solar power, money spent today to develop more efficient batteries for tomorrow

We have friends making a film about the lithium salt fields in Bolivia and Chile, which has been called the "Saudi Arabia of lithium"

suggesting that we could have a different type of energy crisis and political landscape in the future, even if we were to somehow achieve less fuel-dependence

I am so heartbroken, Kat, that my offer of $200,000 donation was not enough to get production started as soon as possible. I'm shocked that such a simple piece of technology could cost so much, but, I guess that is how things are these days. If I had the $1,000,000 to buy 10% of your company, I'd do it but I can't at this time, tell your sweetie sorry about that but I'm am so sure the inventor's widow will die in peace and joy to see her husband's life work helping so many people and save the ecosystem. It was so generous of her to donate his work to your sweetie so he could use it to help us out of the goodness of his heart.

I also hope that the DEQ and all the red tape of American government will not slow things down for years, like they usually do, so you can get to work before it is too late/or the tragedy is already cleaned up. I'm glad you were able to make those last minute arrangements to fly here and meet me to do all the testing you needed done. I am totally exhausted and needing some major recovery time after all the running around we did while you were here. I am so glad to have met you, your sweetie and your engineer...xxooxx

Hi Kat,

I agree... hard to appreciate just how devastating this really is unless you are there first hand. As I told Michelle previously, when I lived in Florida, there was a large segment of population that did not want the drilling because of this potential issue and what it would do to fishing and tourism industry if had a spill.

Only can hope for the best at this time.

Tim

Hi Michelle..
I think it would be getting pretty hard to tell who the vultures are at this point. At a time when it seems logical to be open to new ideas and technologies the "brilliant minds" shut down and continue to scratch their heads and point fingers. Frickin' Amazing! There are people like Kat and her man, yourself and more that are willing to give whatever you have to make a difference and save what is left and nobody will even open the door.

BP points fingers the government points fingers, when is somebody going to put those fingers to work!

All I can do is pray for some reason...And I am screaming those prayers..

Honey, he wasn't rejecting your offer at all. I'll ask him to give you a call to clarify. The million is the total we need. Part of the problem is, is that to run the next round of tests, we'll need more scientific and hazmat oriented equipment. As well as getting the people in place to run it. I'll definitely ask that he call you, OK? He'd been working all day and was pretty darned tired, so he may not have been as clear as usual.

I hear you about being exhausted. It's going to be a few more days before I fully recover, too. hugss

Love and hugs,

Kat

Oops, that wasn't the one I thought it was:

The one I saw this morning.

When I just double checked it, there was an ad for BMW prior to it. Don't think the irony hasn't occurred to me. eyes

Warm hugs,

So the US can shut down oil drilling easily for us but that will not prevent another oil spill off our coast. There are many other nations drilling in that area besides us. We cannot legally shut them down. International water is owned by nobody.

My Dear Kat,
We love you as as dear precious sister.
And I do not question your motives.
But I respectfully disagrree with your conclusion about refering to Predient Bush.
No doubt we are all in a mess because of decisions made. I do agree we need to inforce laws and have strict penalties when work has not been done properly. But unless you move out into the yard, with only an animal skin for clothing, using a rock as a knife, if is hard for any of us to exist without oil or coal. Should we find ways to reduce use, absolutely.
Yea, I still love ya, do you still love me?

Your good friend,
Lon
