Hi,
I read today that AS is common among Rh negative individuals, mainly O neg and A neg.
I am A neg so this was very interesting to me.
How many of you fellow ASers are Rh negative? Are you also B27 pos?
I am.

Thanks,
Jilligan

A Pos and HLA B27+
Read somewhere that people with RA when they get HIV/AIDS find RA symptoms diminish - HIV greatly reduces CD4 T cells and these presumably drive RA.
Wonder if this applies to AS as well.
Not so sure about protection against HIV offered by being HLA B27+
Wouldn't like to test this theory, in any case many AS patients probably not up for much 'action' these days.

Cheers David

Hmmm... interesting stuff but I'm not sure that I want to get HIV just to cure my RA...
