hello ASkickers,
Had my review of TNF's with the Rheumy last week. ESR and CRP are back to normal, which is great so Rhuemy wants me to keep taking humira (which is good news for my Mrs, as she loves to jab me)
Still got SI joints pain, lower back and upper spine and neck, and the news is, well they are done. That news did scare me, and i didnt have the guts to ask which bits have damage and how much. Dont want to know, it will depress me. Happy to go on pretending, like nothing has happened.
Stomach is susceptible to acidity and reflux, am blaming naprosyn. Its so hard when you are an Indian and love your chillies smile and love your espresso smile

But I am really hoping the worst is behind me, although as winter approaches I can see signs of discomfort.

Nevertheless, I have so much support from my family truly blessed that way. All thanks to,
#Turning back to following a spiritual path, has done wonders. things are now falling into place, I am not there yet but getting closer. So if you have one, follow it. Helps immensely.
#My sweet doggy, Bally. He has helped me every morning, he is up and ready to play and have a million cuddles. Gives me energy to deal with AS every morning as he first thin. God bless you Bally.
#Am blessed to have a great family. My partner has never ever shown any weakness, she believes that one day AS would go in remission. Her strength has kept me from falling over.
# Yoga, the best thing ever!

Stupid AS! I hate it,but it has taught me to value life, be a tiny bit more spiritual and slow down to enjoy relationships. So may be it is a blessing in disguise.

Have a great weekend, ASkickers

Ansh,

Thanks for your post and your positive attitude. I soooooooo agree about this disease bringing me to a more spiritual place. It kind of drives you to your knees more often!

Congrats to you for your wonderful life, and blessing of marriage!

HI Ansh,

Love your transport! I enjoyed the colour and cacophony of wedding processions when I was in India and Nepal. Looking forward to seeing more wedding pix, BTW. yes

Hope you can continue to find a path that works for you. Have you ever tried Ayurveda medicines? I am keen to start boswellic acid - from frankincense, which I believe is an old Ayuvedic treatment for inflammation and joint pain, now gaining credence in the west.

My best to you,

Louise (eating chopped cauliflower instead of rice with my curries now on NSD - but there is *no* roti substitute... frown )

Hi Ansh
When you say your joints are 'done', do mean you have some erosion, or fusion, or is this the part you dont want to know? Of course, this is entirely your business, but one of the things I have really learned from KA is that knowledge can be empowering and it might help you plan your life knowing what state your joints are in.
Please can we see some more wedding shots - the one with the elephant is awesome!
Warm regards and congratulations on your marriage
Felicity

Ansh,
Love that pic too... would be great to see some more. Congratulations on the wedding. Despite the ups and downs of your appt it looks like you're in a really good head space... Yay! Fab that the Humira is working for you, and that your Mrs gets to practice her needlework... tongue4 Pets are wonderful, aren't they? I'm missing my 2 purry furries, as I like to call them.

Onwards and upwards, my friends!

Hello Ansh - love that photo, the elli's trunk framing you on horseback. Cool. Congrats on the wedding - love Indian weddings. Awaiting more piccies...please yes

Interesting post and glad Humira is working for you, but slightly taken aback that you didn't want to know what the doctor meant: fusing or damage...?? 'Done' could be fusing: a spine fella I once consulted with, mentioned 'done' in connection with my spne, but, 'when' done would be pain free...!! whistle

Always good to have the full facts of the matter. Then you know better what you are dealing with and where you are going with it (or, can go!)

Take care -
