Hi: I have been very fortunate to work as a clerk for the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch for approximately 35 years. It is a union job and has provided my needs for most of my life. The job required me to work in the warehouse, stock shelves, be a cashier, provide customer service and at times relief supervisor. It is a demanding job for a person with chronic pain from AS and I did it. I managed to do it for 35 years. In five working days I will retire. March 18 is my last working day! I have no plans. As aforementioned I am very fortunate to have been able to do such work. I look forward to the future...Tom

Yeaaaaa Tom.

I can tell from that grin on your avatar that you are looking forward to retirement. Congratulations. I wish you the best of times for the future. Anyone who has gone through what you have needs to be rewarded with plenty of time behind a good fishing pole, or on top of a comfortable hammock, or strapped into the driver seat of a car exploring the vast northern planes. Or, if that doesn't appeal, sitting in a cabana on one of Puerto Rico's fabulous beaches. Enjoy Tom.

Hello Tom

I admire you for managing to do such a physical job for all those years. I hope you have a long and happy retirement, you certainly deserve it.

Just think how much more time you will have to do the things you enjoy. Do you still go hiking? I remember you posting some wonderful pictures from your hikes. I look forward to seeing more.

Have fun, keep moving.

Congratulations Tom

35 years of working is enough I think.
Now you can do what ever you like with your time.
Living in BC Canada must be the ideal place to retire.
You have a lot of beautiful nature to explore. I remember you talking of going on hikes on the mountains.
I wish you a long and happy retirement Tom.
