Well, hard to believe it was eight years ago I registered here at Kickas. At the time I was looking for answers for elevated enzymes from my medications. I transitioned to No Starch Diet and have been doing rather well since.

Kickas is a great place....
- Always there for support when needed, many years ago I suffered from depression and received the support here
- Great for parties... attended two parties in Vegas and one in Phoenix when I still lived in States
- Made good friends, some still here, many have left
- Have met Kickers from 4 different countries.. Indonesia (Sinta), India (Ankush), England (George) and all kinds from the States. Many more countries are represented here

Many changes in my life as well in those eight years. Moved twice... first from Phoenix to Green Bay, WI and then to Argentina and married my lovely wife. Now have 2 year old son and recently my father passed away.

Pray everyone can take away from Kickas as much as I have been able to and that they find this site as regarding as I have.

Thanks to all that make Kickas the place it is... the individuals that post and offer support, add a bit of humor and share advice. Also a special thanks to Admins, they volunteer a lot of time to keep this place up and running.

Take care everyone,

Tim

Great Post Tim!

Time sure does pass by in a hurry, it seems. I have been here almost 10 years now and I have enjoyed every one of them.

There have been many good friends come through this place. And thankfully many remain. It is a mixed blessing to see all of our new members, I would much rather meet everyone here under better circumstances, but heaven knows we can make the best of our situations.. 1cup (That will have to do since we don't have our old mug of beer graemlin any more...) grin2

Tim,

What a great post!

I am working on my 7th year here.

Alot of friends and support thru the years, also have seen some kickers go which has been sad...

I am hoping to be here for many more years.

Lisa

Congrats Tim! What a crazy 8 years for you.
For a split second, after I read your topic, I almost thought you were talking about Matteo's 8th birthday. LOL Ok, now THAT would be growing up too fast.

Now that you mention it, my 8 years here is coming up next month too!

Hi Tim,
When did KA officially open? I'm working on 7 years. Some of my worst years of my life was in that time period, and I am glad that being a member here helped me through them.
Take care,
James

Wow, 8 years! clap
You've had some big changes, but isn't it great to know that you can always count on KA to be there through good times and bad.

Been here 6yrs and 6 weeks! Best support group in the whole world - whatever would we do without our KA family? Yep, many friends made, and more to be made - and sadly, a few slipped away, passed on.

But there we are, c'est la vie, innit. Nice post Tim - and yes, like to Megan, initial reaction: 8yrs, Mateo? Imposs! <LOL>

Take care -

Oh! Happy Anniversary! (That would be a worthy little icon addition... like you get when it's your birthday!)

Your post was beautiful, Tim. I have many many many times been thankful to be here at KA but your words actually made me feel proud to belong.

Felicidades!
