sad We just buried a cousin last week who we loved very dearly.

I wanted to share with you the reason she died. She was someone who tried so hard to be healthy and didn't like to take any medicines. She took so many vitamins and supplements through the years that her liver couldn't process it all. She died of autoimmune hepatitis or as the dr. said "Liver failure from not being able to handle all of the stuff put in it." The same thing happens from too many Tylenol. We lost a friend after 3 liver transplants from Tylenol that she took because she thought it was the safest thing for her pain.

Just reading about supplements, I wanted to make you aware of the consequences of too many.

I, too, was taking B-12 Sublingual until my dr. checked the level and it was ok. My D was too low and she had me on high doses but rechecked it and now has me on 2 calcium + D to hold my D. She checked my Folic Acid and it was fine. You can get all of the vitamin levels checked and be sure whether or not you need them. My cardiologist has me on 2,000 Fish Oil daily and the PCP agrees with this. I am also taking iron twice daily after lab tests.

Just wanted to share. It has been a hard time. She was in the hospital 3 times since Christmas and then just didn't make it the last time. Too sick for a transplant.

Take care of yourselves.

Blessings.

Oh Joyce, I'm so sorry for your loss. hugss

And thank you for the warning. You hear that you shouldn't take too much of this that or the other supplement, but this graphically illustrates why we have to be careful, even with the healthy stuff.

You are so special. Thank you for caring.

Love and hugs,

Kat

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss.

It is a sad fact that people assume that because they are supplements they must be doing them good. This is not always the case and not enough information is provided about the danger of taking too many supplements.

Thinking of you

I have heard of stories like this and people actually taking so much that it turns toxic on them and kills them or causes too much damage.

Im sorry that this happened to your friend and it doesn't make it any easier.

I truly believe that God made us to where normally we have all we need unless something happens and normally we don't need to be filling our bodies with lots of extra.

I don't know what it is..we just lost a beautiful 27 year old friend who had just been married a little over a year. She had lymphoma and it spread to her brain..it has been hard on everyone I guess we will be going to her funeral here in a day or two.

I hope Floyd is feeling better, how are you holding up? think about you often.

Tiff sent an ultrasound picture of little bit..lol it looks like a ping pong ball in a pork chop..lol I will send it to you.

Not much on the job front, Bill is interviewing for a job in Clovis, NM (his hometown) he is excited, me and the kids aren't but Bridget (barngoddess) is because we would only be 3 to 4 hours away from her so that would be a plus..lol but who knows only God I guess.

Love and Hugs,

Lisa and family

Possi - I am so very sorry about this. I thought you had been a little quiet on KA but put it down to the struggles to recover from Floyd's surgery.

I'm aware of how carefully we need to protect our livers. My monthly blood tests are to monitor that my liver function stays good while I'm on these awful drugs. I take a simple multivitamin/multimineral daily and that's it for supplements. I probably wouldn't even do that except that my celiac diet can make it harder to be sure that my dietary intake is adequate.

Thank you for sharing this important information.

Possi,

So sorry to hear this. Condolences to you.

So many people think that because it's sold over-the-counter, or it's from a health food store, it can't be dangerous.
