Has anyone heard from Kat lately? She seems very quiet so I've been concerned about her.

Are you ok Kat? I don't remember you saying you were going on vacation or anything. Miss your "white light".

Kat, sent me a message on "Canadians Against Proroguing Parliament", on Jan. 5th. Haven't heard from her since.

Kat, if your reading this I signed up.

Hugs

Hey Wendy, thanks for this. I've been in hiding the last few weeks. Pretty much the only time I've been online has been on Facebook to check my account on my I-Phone and last Tuesday when I found out about the Facebook group that Gerr mentioned in her post. (By the way, Gerr, it's up to over 136,000 members!!) Pretty much teh only thing that inspired anything but exhaustion (physical, mental and emotional) was our Prime Minister again warping Parliamentary procedure and attacking our form of democracy. laugh2

We drove up to Mum's on Christmas Eve. My nieces (the older one in particular) pretty much forced Mum to celebrate this year. They insisted on a tree and that Mum put every decoration she owns on it. They also informed my sister that they were spending Christmas Day with Mum and me. It was really good to see the two of them giggling and teasing each other as they used to before all of this happened. Things are pretty bad with my sister still, but we're getting better at coping with it. There's nothing we can do about it, right? Just be there for the girls, which we are. They stayed with us last weekend (Jan 2) and I took them on a shopping trip to Kensington Market (vintage clothing heaven!!), then took them up with me on Sunday. They did not want to go back in that house, but they've both decided it's where they should be right now. All we can do is be there for them.

We'd left the dog up there starting around November 26, so it was really good to see her! Double objective there: get her out of the house during some really bad, busy portions of the reno (dust, noise, strangers in the house, nowhere for the dog to hid); give my Mum, stepdad and nieces something other than my sister to focus on. I went back up for Mum's birthday last week and brought the dog back with me after that. The reno is moving along and I am so happy with it, even in its current unfinished state. smile

Anyway, I'm back at work. Only really just started relaxing a little yesterday and really could use the rest of this month off, but that isn't going to happen. My office manager laughed when I suggested it. wink

Warm hugs,

Kat
