Wow Tim,

You have been strong for so long. I can't even imagine holding down a job right now with this disease, and you have done it for over 30 years!! You are Rocky Balboa in the AS community!
Good job. You have nothing to feel bad about. Hang in there! Can you opt for an early medical retirement?? My dad did that for his Polio and he was 54. Now he golfs and plays with the grandkids. I don't know the ins and outs of their money situation but they don't eat mac and cheese! wink2

Good Luck,
Donette

Ankush, Forigive me, if I discouraged you in any way . In many many ,ways this AS has made me a much better person. I have more compassion , more kindness and stronger relationships than I had before I got this disease. yes, I have my obstacles but in the long run I have had a wonderful life . Never give up love !! It is the most powerful force on this earth. Believe me , I will do just fine , I was just letting off a little steam with some friends that understand. I want to thank you for the prayers and I will do the same for you .
Peace and God Bless,
Tim

Donette, Everyone deals with pain in different ways . I cant say if I was strong or I just plain stubborn. I was married and had two kids and felt responsible for them. I grew up with no parents and just wanted the best for my kids. Love is a powerful motivator. I can get SSD which I will apply for once the unemployment runs out.

pimp

(that little guy always reminds me of Paulie, Rocky's original trainer)

I'm sure he'd say "Keep on punching, you can do it, Champ!"

Farinelli , Nice to meet another PA guy:) I loved those Rocky movies too. I used to get all fired up . For those of you fighting AS all out, Ivan Drago is a wussy of an opponent compared to AS:)

Hi Tim,
Yes thats the one could pull wheelies at 110miles an hour without trying. Those were the days oh to be young and reckless again.

Kevin , your post brought back some great memories smile I raced motorcycles in the late 60's and the 70's before this stuff slowed me down. I had a friend who had three 750 triples and wrecked them all doing wheelies. We had a 500 triple and still have a old 550 Suzuki triple out in the shed. It has expansion chambers and rejetted carbs on it. They went straight pretty well but cornered like an old water buffalo smile I got back into bikes about three years ago. There are a lot of bike nights and shows around here. I have met a lot of " old racers " like me and we have a great times shooting the breeze. We are so old we can only talk fast now smile Of course we all have loud pipes so it sounds like we are fast. I have a Harley Dyna Glide and vtx 1300 Tribute bike I built after my newphew was killed in a fire last year. The Vtx was his bike he bought in the service. I hope to be able to post the pictures but I am challenged in the post department. I started to grow my hair long and was starting to grow a beard and mustache until the kids told me I looked more like Santa Claus than a biker smile Well, I am gabbing away again ! Its great to know you.
Peace and God Bless, Tim
