Does anyone else have horrible chest pains? Mine stay with me for weeks at a time. I feel like I am having a heart attach! I know I am not and the Dr.'s say I will be okay. That it is inflammation around the chest bones. But It is scary and annoying.

Hi and welcome to the group! I have had it previously and now again. This pain makes it hard to breathe and is a constant pain. I think a heart attack will be a sharper pain with nausea... Not a medical dr, though. That is why we are all so afraid to sneeze or cough!
Take care and hope you will feel better soon.

I'm so sorry! I have the same complaint! I ask my dr about it every time I see him. He said mine in pleurisy. It is quite painful and equally scary. I hope you can get it worked out. Are you on any anti inflammatories?

Hey! I definitely get those. I have AS pains in my ribs. I am especially sore around the diaphragm. I also have GERD that also feels like a heart attack.

Yep,

Sometimes a dull ache, other times a sharp wallop right across my chest.

One of the first times it happened I was admitted to the cardiac section of the hospital, and monitored overnight!

Aint AS fun (not)!

I ache, therefore I am

Are those the pains when you turn to the left or right it is a spiking pain.
You can't move for it will start again? I had this type of pain a couple of times and both times was scared to move. I have a lump right on my breast bone which grows and reduces. Dr. told me it is just the last rib to become solid bone which I thought was the dumbest explanation for it!

Sometimes yes it hurts when I move other times I am just sitting or lying down. That is a strange explanation. Have you asked for a second opinion? The first time I had one I stuck out my arm to hand something over and it was a shooting pain. Hope that answered your question.
