If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have a hard time finding shoes for my arthritic feet. I used to wear 8.5. I now need 8.5 wide thanks to the AS. It is pretty tough to find wide shoes especially in the smaller shoes. I have found running shoes to be comfortable due to the mesh. Anyone else experience footwear problems?
Thanks!
Craig

I am sooooooo picky about shoes! It's not uncommon for me to try on 20 pairs and reject every one. I'm currently wearing Saucony Progrids and LOVE them! Finding the right shoe is an individual thing, though. Every person's needs are different. Do you know what it is you need in a shoe? Wide? Good arch support? Motion control? Deep last? If you can figure out what you need, then you'll know what to buy. You might find the shoe recommendations in this link helpful: http://posturalrestoration.com/resources/pri-living/Karen

wow! you & my hubby have the same feet!! He actually is a size E... double wide or something like that and has a hard time finding shoes. He usually goes for Oasics tennis shoes for the best support & comfort.
I finally broke down and bought a pair because everything else just sucked for wearing. No more heels for me now that I've gotten my posture straightened out. It used to be that HIGH, thick heels helped my hip (but not my feet). so now I am reduced to boring tennis shoes... oh well...

Hi Craig, Some one here or? said to look at ZAPPOs.com. I bought a pair of mens 8.5. (used to wear a 7!) fishermens sandals. Open enough for ventilation and very supporting. Velcrow closing and removabble insole. Adjustable so can wear with socks. But it's been he(( trying to find any thing. I can not find any store that carries a shoe that works. I tried the mbt type too... Hurt some where else. Oi can never wear nice shoes again.
I was told SAS shoes are good but have not seeked them out yet.
Let us know how you make out..... Lucy

for me, the only things that work are ultra flat shoes: mexican sandals, keds sneakers, old pair of loafers, shoe boots. too much arch, trying to "fix" my pronation problem, custom orthotics, store bought orthotics, heel cups, anything that changes my pronation at all, big trouble. currently in search of something flat, but cushioned, that would be the best.
my stepfather with wide arthritic feet swears by moccasins.

I wear crocs all year round, only once a month I have to put on normal shoes for a couple of hours. Even my doctor wears crocs to work.

Hey Craig, I wear crocs also... they have some that look like keds now, canvas and corduroy. I have Hallux Limitus (fancy words for hurts in my 1st metatarsal phalangeal joint - the big toe joint.).... and I find a really stiff insert helps me by not allowing movement in the joint, esp when I drive (?). There is such thing as custom steel inserts... $$$$.
cheers, CC

I remember a shoe thread a long time ago where I thought all you peeps were nuts for wearing crocs. I thought they'd make my feet flare my plantar fasciitis like mad.... and now here I am; can't get out of the silly things! Thanks for converting me! lol But when my PF is flaring, they seem to be ok. Between crocs, runners with orthotics, and moldable sole flip-flops, my feet are sort of ok these days. Except it snowed about 6 inches in the past couple days, so I'll be looking for boots to fit my orthotics into.
