Well, I'm home early from work because I burned my hand at lunch time. Like I need any more pain! It was a thick soup I was carefully removing from the microwave, when the cloth I was lifting it with caught on the door catch and yanked the bowl backward so the soup slopped over my hand. Even though I immediately got it under cold water for five minutes I have a second/third degree burn. Had to have a tetanus shot. The nurse at the clinic was lovely and it's all bundled up now but the pain is fairly extreme. I have to go back tomorrow and they'll take the dressing off and assess how it's doing.

Well - at least I have a good supply of pain meds!

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear about your hand. Burns are terribly painful. I'm sending good thoughts for a quick healing.

Oh Wendy! That's just awful. And if it wasn't bad enough to get burned, the Tetanus shot hurts like heck. Try fresh aloe when they take the dressing off. Also Manuka honey is very healing.
I hope you will heal soon and that the pain is not so bad.
My thoughts are with you.

Hi Wendy,
Well how silly was that. Hope you didnt waste the soup.
Hope it feels better soon I know how painfull burns are had my car radiator cap blow off and took all the skin of my wrist takes ages to heal. Tetanus shot yes important becuase of germs from the air getting into burn site.
