Hey sweetie, how're you feeling today?

You've had some great advice from everyone else so far, so I won't add to it, except for this. My naturopath once advised me that when using Epsom Salts, don't follow the directions on the package (which usually calls for something like 1 cup of salts). Put as much in the tub as the water will dissolve. You're creating a weightless environment doing that, which will keep your poor SI and tailbone off the floor of the tub. It's very comforting, really.

I just hope you get some relief soon.

Warm hugs,

Kat

My Dear Sue,
I have read only some of the posts.
Much good has been said. People love you and want you well.
At my worst, when I have everything you mention and just want to die: I have concluded that after saying my prayers;
I get the best workout I can for the shape I am in. It does help to be under the infleunce, I get hot and sweaty for about an hour, if I can stand it.
Never taken the big guns, cept mirpex, requip, etc.
there is not a pain pill that touches this pain. I eat only apples 2-3 days and then boil eggs.
Once again please remember whewn the pain makes you feel all alone, we understand and our thoughts are with you!

thanks kat

well, better than 2 days ago, that's for sure.

but all this walking that helps my back seems to be hurting my butt a little in a new way that i don't quite understand yet.

and all the standing and/or walking to try to compensate for not being able to sit, not sure if that's the cause, but a twinge in my achilles tendon when turning in the shower earlier today. then went away, then again tonight when turning in the kitchen. from what others have said here, the achilles tendon is not one that you want to mess up. so iced it. and to a bath in a minute i think.

but compared to the stabbing trigger point pain that was hurting my stomach 2 days ago, infinitely better than that.

and last night i actually slept 6 hours, only waking 2 times briefly. the best quality sleep i've had in a week and a half, so progress.

thanks for asking

I'm so glad to hear you got some half decent rest last nights. Sometimes, that goes a longer way than we think.

Yah, I've been getting achilles stuff, too, the last 4 or 5 months. Burning in the bottom of the heel, extremely tender in the back of my heel. I'm hoping it stops there, personally. I have too much dancing and trekking yet to do!!!

The other day, we took my nieces to the fair. Gave myself shinsplints (5.5 hours walking on concrete - dumb dumb dumb). The day after I'd been sitting for a while. Stood up to walk away and didn't know whether to limp on my right shin, my left knee, or my left butt cheek. I had to laugh. It was just too ridiculous.

Warm hugs,

Kat

Hey Sue

Glad you are some better today. I went to PT yesterday and they tried to work out a huge knot in my thoracic area and I'm paying for it today. Major migraine/occipital neuralgia. Convinced the occipital neuralgia is connected to my back/neck problems and this disease. You are SO right that massage can set this demon off worse!!! Now if only the PT's believed it....

I wish we could find some help for this...PT isn't the answer

hi jewelz,

from my own personal experience, you should find a PT that does believe it.

i've seen both types.

now seeing one who understands, she does the ultrasound and then sends me on my way to ice the crap out of it because that's what seems to help me a bit.

and i only know that because i was lucky enough to go to a really good PT first time out when i knew nothing about all this.

last summer my doc sent me to PT for a knee that was a little bad.
the PT just thought i was "out of shape" though i tried to explain.
within 2 weeks, she managed to flare 4 body parts that had been good before we started, never even addressing the knee. it took me several months to recover from that.

but the current PTs ultrasounding is helping those spots. of course new things keep cropping up and its like chasing symptoms around, but better than letting them all snowball out of control.

hope you feel better too,
