Hi Patty...I remember that you had told me about your daughter moving to Baton Rouge, was she still living there when hurricane Gustav hit? They sustained some damage from that one....thanks for the advice and the moral support, it really means a lot to me....

Wow Jeffery...another author in the community, I had no idea that we had so much talent hanging around....my main goal is to point out just how botched up the recovery effort has been...for instance, the rescue necessities showed up in New Orleans this past Nov....yep November 2008, apparently the trucks took a wrong turn and wound up in Michigan, so "somebody" decided to put the emergency supplies into storage and every month for three years, the city Comptroller's office received an invoice and without question paid it....

I need to get to Brad Pitt... Actually, that's not such a bad idea.... Seriously, I think you're right that he wouldn't appreciate it too much! You're also dead-on about the danger too, I've already had some rather "strange" things happen...If it is feasable for you to come down here with Bill, that would be awesome....you can even bring Ella with you....and P.S. I love you too!

It's funny that you brought up Michael Moore, I thought the same thing....as for the accusations, while I was doing liason work, I was sent hard data by various Senators and Congressmen (demographic fund allocation, which insurance companies that the relief-aid recipients had, financial reports detailing where the money went...or didn't go, policy audit results, etc.) some pretty good stuff....Sue, I really appreciate all of your advice...ironically, I considered PMing you and Kat last week to ask you if you'd work on this projet with me.....

Hi Dow, yeah, I have a copy of the Requiem of when the levees broke, good stuff but yes, there is so much to this saga that I can understand why Spike Lee felt that way....I would love to work with them but I don't know how to go about putting that together.... That's really neat that you worked with Sam Pollard, I think it would be wonderful if they could go deeper into this....

Hi Lon! At this point, I don't think that anything they can do to me can trash my world anymore than it already has been, but thanks for the concern and don't worry, if anything goes down, I'll grab the dogs and head for your house!

Hi Michelle:

Well, if you decide, I'd be happy to put you in touch with Sam. Would expect that they'd be more interested in following the stories and people that you've done research on, as interview candidates, rather than hire you as a writer directly, which might not be what you are looking for

This is still an ongoing story, with Governor Jindal talking about refusing help from the stimulus package, politics, politics and more politics!

Oh Dow...that would be wonderful, you're awesome!!! I've got tons of material...everything from photos, video tapes and a chronological diary that I kept of the things that were censored from the news and of course, I have documentation, people have turned over their files to me....insurance, FEMA, LRHP, OCD but they'll probably have to keep me on the project, even if they could get us locals (Cajuns) to open up to "outsiders", yall wouldn't be able to understand us! ....now on the Governor's refusal for help from the stimilus package, I too was a bit shocked at first but this morning on Meet the Press, he explained....the state would have to sign a covenant agreeing to permanently raise taxes on small businesses and as he explained, that would not only devestate the small business industry in Louisiana but why should we agree to permanent tax hikes on already struggling small businesses in order to recieve temporary funds?
