If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello, Your post jumped out at me because I am 26 also. I have had AS for about a year now, but it wasn't diagnosed until a couple of months ago. What are your symptoms that you are having? Mine were more in my feet, legs, and hands. My back and neck were stiff and painful, but they didn't hurt near as much as everything else. My thumb and a couple of my toes swelled up like sausages and that is was finally led to my diagnosis. I recommend getting checked out asap because this condition does damage your joints. Hey you are a med student so I'm sure you've looked into all of the avenues anyway. Glad to see that you've found this. With this being so rare, it was great to stumble upon this site where everyone else is going thru the same thing. Take care.

Welcome to KickAS.
Seems like you ought to dive in and get an official diagnosis, since you already are living with the anxiety of pretty well knowing you have AS. All the diagnosis can door is open door to possible med's for you and who knows maybe you'll get good news.
Anyway, welcome to kickAS. Since you're a med student you're way ahead of the game medically on this thing. Psychologically and emotionally dealing with this thing there are lots of good ideas kicked around here and some bad ones. Those are generally mine. For example I believe the best way to deal with AS is to deny, deny and deny some more. Deny your in pain, deny its slowing you down even deny things that others can't miss such as the change in your walk.

Hi and welcome to KA. I wish you luck on the dx train. You've found the best place for info and support. As for your long post, believe me, there are some of us here who go on and on and on. You're in good company. Hugs,
Kat

"deny, deny and deny" = awesome advice, ha-ha!
There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as if everything is.
