I exercise vigorously and regularly.
After eating NSD for about 1-2 weeks I began bonking during exercise. Felt ok during other daily activities.
Feels like I need some level of complex carbohydrate to avoid this.
Anyone have experience with this and/or any suggestions.
Thanks!
Val

Are you eating plenty of vegetables and protein? This could help.

Do you eat sugar? This could be a problem.

Try eating a spoonful of coconut oil before exercise, then take a hot bath and little nap after.

Are you getting a good nights sleep? Make time for relaxation or meditation during the day.

I keep a jar full of chunks of coconut oil in the refrigerator. First I drop about 1/2 teaspoon size chunks on a cookie sheet and chill. When they are hard, then I transfer to a mason jar. I can just pop these in my mouth anytime.

Thanks for your ideas, Jeanne.
Think I'm getting enough protein/vegies.
Do eat refined sugar. I'll cut back or eliminate.
Sleeping much better (current problem - neck pain improved) Do meditate.
Will experiment with coconut oil.

When I exercise very vigorously, I find I need a source of quick sugar. Fruit juice works well. You might try some grape juice before exercise and some more during.

In a month or two your body will get more used to it - but the fruit juice is a great idea.

I was really tired at the beginning too. But I don't notice that anymore. I guess your body just adjusts and learns to burn fat as fuel instead.
