If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Snowshoe,
It looks like it will snow in a couple of days. I am hoping that we will get more AS skiers this year. My wife said we should start advertising it now so that more people can make plans to come.

Looks like Sue gave you the answer for what are gu packs. They are just quick energy. Some taste terrible, so as I go through the aid station when they are handing them out I always ask what flavor. I skip the ones I don't like.

Congratulations to reach the goal. Just run the marathon with no finish, is a wonderful thing, but reaching the goal gives you a joy that few things can compare with it, will suffer for so many hours. Do you suffer? would enjoy better say. Congratulations.

That's just amazing. Weather like that and finishing in a decent time with the AS. If I had a bicycle and good weather on one of my better days I'm packing it in.
I may have to play my next round of golf without a cart and walk all 18. BTW that takes me about 4 and a half hours when I last did it 5 or so years ago.
ENormous congratulations to you.

Steve, That is truly wonderful. You have had so much will power over the years and now You have achieved this goal. I must say I envy you and I also know how much time and pain it must have cost. I still run myself regular too but the last years I have difficulties to train often enough to run the half marathon. It is motivation primarily and the fact that I gained weight now I'm not so strict with LSD diet as before. But well it keeps tingling a bit especially now I've read your story. Anyway, I hope your euphoria will last a long long time!!. Gerard

Gerard, It is good to hear from you. That is the hard part all the training hours you have to put in. I know that my wife hates that. She says you are gone Saturday morning running for two or three hours, and then you are wiped out the rest of the day. All the mornings getting up at 5:00 AM to run. All that said I am already thinking about next year.

This whole "running" thing is remarkable to me. I used to run, but my knees gave out and now with my ankle, well, it's a no-go. But good for you! That's fantastic!

Sometimes I think my body is an inflammation nation.
AS for 20 years HLAb27+, i think there was talk a negative result at later date, but never confirmed. Have been on many different anti- inflammatory drugs (naproxen to arthrotec to vimovo). Now off all prescription meds except occasional advil or tylenol. Don't underestimate the power of icing (I bought the biggest ice pack i could find and it is good at numbing pain). Aaron
