I Have just found out that i am HLA-B27 negative, not too sure how i feel about that to be honest. But i was reading up on some stuff and was wondering if the NSD works if you're b27 negative?

anyone...?

hi drew,

i am hla-b27 negative, and LSD doesn't seem to make any difference for me. i only tried the NSD for a few days (couldn't do it due to gastritis and blood sugar issues) but in those few days i saw no difference. some people say it takes longer for some people. but due to several reasons including lack of help from diet, i'm not sure i have AS. i'm looking into other reasons for my tendon and SI woes, just not ruling out spondyloarthropathy either.....

hopefully someone who definitely has AS has had diet success and can share that with you.

Hi Drew,
I am HLB-27 negative, and Humira works very well for me. I don't know if that is what you are asking...NSD? Anyway, that's my 2 cents' worth

Hi, Drew:

I have heard directly from several people who are confirmed B27 negative and they know that the NSD alone is still very effective in almost fully controlling symptoms. Although it is very common to obtain a false negative result--over 50% of confirmed AS subjects retested positive when the test was done properly at the Middlesex AS Clinic in London--you certainly can be AS+B27-.

One ASer recently retested, because the doctors would not give her an AS diagnosis without a positive result, since she has no damage yet (but if they are allowed to continue to "treat" her, she would absolutely eventually develop the damage), so it is certain she is B27 negative and, thankfully, responds very well to NSD. At least five or six other MHCs have essentially identical Osp (outer surface protein) structures (at the reaction site) with B27, so there are many people who are not B27s, but have B27 Disease.

If long-term fasting and/or the Edgar Cayce 3 Day Apple Diet helps relieve symptoms, it is almost certain that the NSD would work for You.

Regards,
John
