I am new here, I think I posted ealier in the wrong forum. I have AS, also spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, bone spurs from L5-S1 to T-12. I am on Methadone 5mg every 6 hrs, Neurontin 300 3x daily. Baclofen 3x daily. Would Remicade,Humira,or Enbrel with Methotrexate help my condition? I heard a combo of Metho with one of the others will put AS in remission. I will ask my doc when I go next but would like feedback from you all as my doc told me virtually NOTHING about the AS. I learned everything here. I love you guys and this place, it has helped my learn so much about this disease. :cup: Thank you all

Hi.

Welcome to KA! You will find support and understanding here, but even better than that, you will find friendships here like you never imagined..

I am not sure what thread you posted this in, but you want to post it in the #1 AS Web support group thread. That is the one that gets the most traffic.

It is the weekend, so it will be kinda quiet, but someone will be along sooner or later to answer your questions. I promise. :)

Hugs

Lori

Hi, Molly:

I have moved this thread to the Main forum, since it is a better discussion here.

In answer to your question, you might have heard that MTX (methotrexate) works in combination with one (or any) of the biologic agents to stop the progression of AS. This might be a good option and a valid approach, provided the dosage of the MTX could remain very low and still provide therapeutic activity. And I would still consider paying some attention to diet, to achieve more relief.

Regards,
John
