If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I went to my rheumy ysterday. I told him that I am having jaw pain. Mostly in the morning. I asked him if it could be from AS or just stress. he told me it could be either one of those. So I was wondering if anyone else here has jaw pain? If so so you know if it is from AS. At first I thought it was from stress but have continued to have jaw pain for about a month now. In the past few months it seems that my AS is taking over my body. When I was diagnosed three years ago I had pain only in my back, hips and feet. Now in the past few months my feet are almost unwalkable. I have new pain in my knees, wrists, ankles, and in the past fews days a little in my elbows. I feel 80 years old in my 39 year old body. hee hee Not really funny but what the "bleep" Gotta laugh about it or cry. I also want to add that I am so lucky to have found all of you. you all are such inspirations and support for me. I hope that I can also be of help to you as well. Have a wonderful day your Friend Raquel

Raquel, I do have jaw pain off and on. It's frustrating as all get out. It does do a lot of popping too! I don't know if it's because of AS or something else. I haven't had it checked out, probably should, but at this point, don't feel like it! It's been happening for a while now, I can still eat, so I'm good! Hopefully you get an answer soon. BTW...cute baby! Name? sarah

I've had jaw pain in the past but I have never had it confirmed by a doctor it was a symptom of AS. Both my sister and my mom grind their teeth in their sleep so at first I thought it was that. When I spoke with my dentist, he said he didn't think I did. My sisters teeth are all worn down because of her grinding. Maybe check with your dentist to make sure grinding isn't the issue. Good luck! - Angie

i don't have jaw pain (hope i didn't just jinx it) but i've been amazed how many joints have become involved over the years to the point that i think just about any joint could become involved. and mine moves around my body; something will be a problem for months to years and then seem to mostly disappear or at least lessen considerably for awhile and then come back . there are a few things that never seem to go away for very long, the SI being one of them. i'm pretty sure i've heard others here talk about jaw pain. i can crack/pop my left jaw at will, but no pain with that. TMJ can be lessened with a mouth guard if you are a teeth grinder (the dentist can possibly tell you, though i've had one dentist that said i definitely was and fitted me for a mouthguard that i wore for a little, another that said i definitely wasn't, and another that said maybe a little). and i'm with you in regards to laughing about it as much as possible even if its not really funny. i have a few really good stories that put my friends in stitches...things that definitely weren't funny at the time, but i knew even then they'd make good stories some day....i'm sure we all have a few of those sue

yes I get jaw pain. It seems to come on in two separate sorts of ways. If I talk a lot it seems to hurt.........thankfully I am a man of few words, diffident, silent almost....errr............when my wife hits me on the chin it seems to bring on the jaw pain too, am convinced it is that because everytime she does it, the same sort of pain returns.....!!! Thankfully, she only hits me a couple o times a week so usually I am pain free for an hour on Sundays...............errrlol, not making light of your jaw pain difficulties, just trying to make you smile............oh yes..........i get jaw pain when I smile too.......don't smile, don't smile....lol

Most definately had the jaw pain. It hurts like hell sometimes. Other times it is just a bother. However, since going on the NSD it seems to have gone away. Also use to have really bad headaches - the kind that are so bad that it makes you throw up! Again, since going on the NSD the headaches have gone away. I'm not pain free as my shoulders, hip and lower back are still a bit stiff and painful from time to time, but I am SO much better after finding this wonderful group of people and getting hooked up on the NSD.
I have recently found myself cheating, but when the pain starts to come back it is a quick reminder to follow the diet!
Best of luck to you!
Tommy
