I may need to switch to Medicaid within the next month and I am wondering if I will be able to get the humira I was discussing with my rheum. I understand it is very difficult to see a doctor and even more difficult to see a specialist while on Medicaid and you have a Rx limit of 6 prescriptions they pay for a month, is that true?? I see a neurologist and psychiatrist as well who also dispense me Rx..I am worried that I will not get Humira or the Enbrel, if anyone has experience with this please let me know I am really scared. As of right now I am just starting a treatment plan. And I live in NJ.

I wish I had an answer for you, but unfortunately I don't. I do understand how your feeling though. I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm suppose to start humira, but I have been having difficulty dealing with my husband's benefit coverage and the Trillium drug program here in Ontario. Noone seems to be able to explain how this all works or have the ability to answer my questions. Also I'm not sure if we can afford this treatment option. I want to try it and to feel better, but I don't want to go broke doing it.
It's been an extremely frustrating and scarey process.
I wish you all the best in figuring it all out.

I can't think of anything snappy to write here at the moment, but I'm sure I'll come up with something eventually.

The ENcourage Foundation can help you. Give them a call @ 888-436-2735. They helped me when I couldn't afford my Enbrel. They will even ship it to your home. They also provide supplies. Good luck to you. =D
