Molly, somebody, anybody I need help with my research. I have spend hours everyday trying to find answers on my own. I thought we pay the docs big bucks to do this and find the answers for us, but, I guess not. Anyway, I find articles but them try to download only to find that you have to pay to read them OMG Everytime I find a promising article, I'm stopped in my tracks with sign ins and pre-pay. Is there anyone out there who knows how to get around this??
Help

I have the titles. I have to go back and see where I picked them up from and who the authors are. I can't believe there might be people that can help me. I'm so excited.

Hi Cindy,
I have pretty good access through the med library here.
If you post info on the articles you want (Name of article, name of journal, first author, and year) I can see what I can do.

Hi Cindy - Think you have the help you need - good going you guys! I have the exact same problem. Pay to access and I don't buy on-line, (anything) and 2) I don't have the spare reddies...

Yes, it sure can get V. frustrating - I am frequently grinding my teeth here. Grrrrrr. Good luck with your hunt - KA family to the rescue.

Heigh you guys, can you find me anything on Levobupivacaine/Chirocaine and side effects especailly in relation to ASers? Possibility of causing a flare? This is when used as a 'block' in surgery, as in a shoulder block and as used in pain killers into a catheter inserted into the shoulder - or whatever surgical site. (Not looking for problems when used as a spinal - epidural). And not referring to pain pumps - that is/those are slightly different.

Have found that Bupivacaine 'can' cause back ache, but not too much else and not of too much interest. Just usual general stuff. Thanks - don't mean to interrupt/take over or high-jack your thread Cindy.

gday molly,
i couldnt find anything that mentioned AS specifically but a few have mentioned a rise in post-op pain while on the 'caine' group.

excerpt from PubMed

"The volume of local anaesthetic solution consumed during the first 48 h after surgery was 25% higher in those patients receiving ropivacaine."

Standard Info

Hope this helps
