Hi Cindy

You know what I have just realized by reading your post Cindy?..that this is why we must continue to create posts and keep talking to the people here....it has given you the opportunity to talk....and you needed to do that...you have been storing up all this pain and keeping everything inside...and when you come here...you throw it out on the table..and discuss it with everyone...all the responses is like a bunch of little rays of light than seep way down inside and bring healing...don't ya think?...

Sometimes I just need to post..just to say hi...in hopes that everyone will say hi back...and we get that exchange of friendship that means so much to all of us....

I just woke up from a little nappy poo..and find that you are doing well and jabbering up a storm!..and Cindy...that makes me so happy because that is what keeps me going too....so just keep on using this thread to vent all that is going on inside...and talk to all the wonderful people here who always come through for us when we are down......makes me so happy to see you talking....cause I know how good you and I do when we talk together...and God forbid it's over a pot of coffee...because we would never stop!...

love you girlfriend..have a wonderful evening...
Deb

Sending Lovie Dovies your way...Debbie

Thanks, Debbie, for the ray of sunshine today. We've had a big snowstorm, and it's been quite a day. I'm used to being housebound, but all the menfolk aren't. We baked chocolate chip cookies and homemade bread. So I kept them occupied eating. Works every time.

Don't know what we'd do with a pot of coffee. Probably the same thing that happened when Connie and I got together. We jabbered so much at the restaurant, we closed the place down. Then we went over to her house and started in on the coffee. The only thing better than coming here to KickAS.org is sitting down with another ASKicker. So, I'm warning you Debbie, the next time I'm in California........ I've never been there, but if I do, your house is on my itinerary.

I'm still hurting bad, but I'm getting my spunk back. I may be down, but I'm not out. And you can just pile it on, 'cause I'm gonna make it now. And I will certainly give the dr a piece of my mind next time I see him. I will keep fighting for proper pain control. I owe it to my family to be there for them and I'll do it for me, too. Life is worth living. And even though I feel like I've been chewed up and spit out, I'll still be smiling, 'cause deep down inside of me, I've got peace. I thought I lost it, but underneath all my agony, it was still there.
Love ya, girlfriend.

Hugs,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,
(((((((BIG HUGS)))))))))
I'm glad you were finally able to post this. Why are doctors so dumb when it comes to pain relief? *sigh* I've been trying to get into a pain clinic, I figure at least I will be "in the system" at a major medical center and a diverse array of new specialists to "try out." It might be a good option to look into. I hope you get some relief soon. ((((((((MORE BIG HUGS))))))))

'Erie,

You said it right. Doctors are so dumb. And not just on the pain relief angle. I've still got my fingers crossed for you that you will get to meet a real doctor someday. I've already dx'd you with seronegative spondylarthropy, but I can't find my medical degree. My kids swear that I'm smarter than any doctor they've been to. I guess I should just listen to them, maybe they're right. It isn't like I have to over-tax my brain or anything.

Hugs,

Cindy

Linda,

I think I've managed to pick myself up out of the rut I'd fallen in. Not sure how long I'll stay up. I'm madder than (insert word of your choice). I may be running on adrenalin, but I'm running. I intend to get pain relief, someway, somehow. I owe it to my family, and I want to do it for me, too, cause I need to feel good. It is ridiculous to think that animals have more rights than I do. It is illegal to let a poor critter suffer like this. So if you're anything in the medical profession, I'm warning you to stay out of my way. I do sound like I have an attitude problem, don't I? Maybe all I need is a Tweety bird, a cup of tea, and a nice, fluffy, feather pillow.

Hugs,

Cindy

Cindy, someone from Firginia (That's how they say it ) once told me it's "Madder than an old wet hen" That would work here. (And yes, I made it to the hills and I think they're gonna find Osama before me )

Cindy , just a note of personal experience obout the mj thang ,for me it always seemed to intensify the pain but as they say every one reacts differently . And as for the darvacet it is also addictive and has fallen under serious scrutiny as to its effictivnes . as for me it does not relieve the pain very well . Im just tryin to hold out till the 13th when I actually get to see a specialist . ps the mj thang was a very long time ago . We will pray for you . Keep looking up , We live by faith, not by sight. Too bad Cindy I know you were starting to feel better for a while. I have a suggestion for the next time you go back to that quack of a Doc when he ask you how much pain your in promply get off the table and kick him where it counts and ask the SOB if on a scale of 1-10 where would he rank the pain... On your way out slice his tires it may not get you any better pain meds but it will have you feeling a real sense of accomplishment.

This probably isn't funny, but I have a friend who did just that. She suffered from severe dysmenorrhea. And the dr couldn't find anything wrong, and suggested a psychiatric evaluation to figure out why she was imagining all her pain. She got up, walked around the desk, and delivered a well-placed kick. She told him, as he was gasping for breath, that his pain was all in his head, and he was just a typical male giving that portion of his anatomy an over-inflated sense of importance. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. It's just as well that my hips are so messed up, I'm mad enough to deliver a death blow. But in my dreams........
